Grant Sharkey is a hyper-creative composer, comedian, performer, double-bassist and writer from Southampton in the UK. Since 2013 he’s been on a self-imposed challenge to write, record and release an album of songs every 6 months over the course of 20 years.
This has led him to create a chaotic and delightful live show comprising of songs such as Pubes & Toenails (The Brexit Song), I’m Sorry To Hear You’re Racist, Spoons, URSS!, The Power of F*ck, Genitals and Let Somebody In and hundreds more.
He rarely gets played on the radio – but when he does, there’s usually an apology that follows.
Sharkey’s played everywhere from front rooms to Glastonbury and the Edinburgh Fringe, he’s done a TEDx Talk and written 2 books. He’s also written 2 musicals. ‘Are You Worthy?’ about the inequalities of gigantic festivals and his most recent is Webber! – a bawdy musical about the life and politics of Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The albums are supposed to come out on May 1st and November 5th until the year 2033.
