Dear Lord Lloyd Webber,

As a professional courtesy, please find enclosed the script and CD for my satirical musical, Webber!  – it’s a 55-min through-composed musical about your life. I’m very proud of it.

First of all: I am not soliciting for any kind of business deal, production package or management – I’m simply making you aware of the piece. I composed every note and wrote every word. I’ve cast myself in the role of Webber and I hope you’ll agree Laura Clare Reid as Thatcher is sublime in her innate hilariousness and incredible voice.

There is a more detailed reasoning for why I was compelled to write Webber! in the introduction of the book – but the truth is: I became fascinated with how your life and political actions are diametrically opposed to the teachings of the main characters of your foundational works Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita. That, to me, is a compelling story I wanted to tell.

I genuinely hope this finds you in good health and humour. If you or your team would like tickets to our preview performances or Edinburgh Fringe run, let me know. We then went on to do four amazing previews shows in Southampton, Salisbury, Ryde and Accrington – before a 9 date run at the Edinburgh Fringe – getting some great reviews from British Theatre Guide, The Scotsman, Speak The Speech and Stage to Page. We then popped down to the theatre tent at Beautiful Days Festival in Devon – and performed two packed out shows.

Now we’re taking Webber! out on tour in Oct/Nov and then in 2026 we’ll do a ton more.
